During the month of October the weather varies so much in the midwest. I’ve been spending the last couple weeks at home in Kentucky and dressing for this cool-ish weather can be difficult. One moment the breeze is brisk and invigorating and the next moment you are breaking a sweat. It is for this reason that I ADORE short sleeved knits. They have weight for warmth but aren’t suffocating when the sun comes out. The thought of short-sleeved sweaters may give you flashbacks to Mrs. Barbara in 3rd grade Sunday school… but fear not. They’re anything but frumpy when styled thoughtfully. A great textured knit is just the beginning. Add comfortable, distressed denim and a rich, worn leather boot for the win. Top the ensemble off with a small scarf, but nothing too heavy. Recently I’ve been relying heavily on a well worn blue bandana that I’ve had for years. Have a favorite hat? Throw that on too and you are good to go.
